Recently, Tuff Shed® partnered with Leota Wilson and Mikaela Falwell, two gardening influencers based in Sacramento, CA, known as the Curly Cultivators. We worked with Leota and Mikaela to help bring the pefect shed home office to life, and we did just that!
About the Curly Cultivators
Leota and Mikaela met in graduate school at the University of Tennessee. Not long after, they bought a house in Sacramento and have been in the process of transforming their outdoor space as avid gardeners and farm-to-table enthusiasts. Their passion for educating others about gardening motivated them to create an Instagram page, which has grown tremendously. Together, they’ve combined their love for gardening and sustainability to continue sharing their knowledge across social media as @curlycultivators.
Customizing the perfect home office
When it came to customizing their shed, they utilized our online configuration tool to customize their 10ft X 12ft Premier PRO Tall Ranch. They already had a Tuff Shed garage, which helped influence their decision to go with Tuff Shed for their home office. In close collaboration with the Tuff Shed team, they diligently worked to ensure their new shed complemented both their garage and backyard aesthetic perfectly.
“One of the things that was important to us when choosing what type of shed to go with was the sustainability of the product, so we were really excited to partner with Tuff Shed and LP Building Solutions because of their commitment to sustainability,” Mikaela said.
“We decided to go with Tuff Shed because we know that if we buy it once, we buy it for life,” says Leota.
Installation Day
It was the big day! After the Curly Cultivators finalized their design, the shed was custom-built in our Sacramento factory. The team packaged and loaded all the components onto a trailer and then delivered and assembled the building all in one day. The crew arrived around 8 in the morning and the shed was finished that afternoon. To finish out the shed, Leota and Mikaela plan on adding electricity, insulation, drywall, a mini split to have heating and cooling, recessed lighting, patterned wallpaper, and a finished desk with storage underneath.
