TUFF SHED, Inc., America’s leading supplier of installed storage buildings and garages, has completed reconstruction at its Phoenix, Ariz. location and is currently celebrating a re-grand opening of the store.
The remodeled retail showroom and factory, located at 3745 East Illini Street, off of the Maricopa Freeway in Phoenix, was the first local business to undergo changes due to the ADOT Corridor Improvement Study, which is an evaluation of freeway improvement alternatives in the area.
The reconstruction, which began during the last week of December 2011 and was finished the first week of March 2012, required TUFF SHED to tear down the southern wall of their building and move it north 50 feet in order to make room for the highway expansion. While overall square footage of the building was lost, TUFF SHED was able to reclaim 1,000 square feet to for their operations after a sub-tenant vacated the building. The now 7,000 square foot building includes a manufacturing facility as well as a retail showroom featuring a broad range of storage building and garage display models.
While freeway construction continues on Interstate 10, TUFF SHED is having their official re-grand opening in light of their remodel finish. And coinciding with the Phoenix store re-grand opening, TUFF SHED is also launching two new products the TUFF SHED PRO Studio and the TUFF SHED PRO Sports Edition.
The PRO Studio is a modern take on the classic TUFF SHED storage building design, for those customers wanting a backyard building with a more modern look. This post-modern style TUFF SHED building will include one model in three standard sizes (8’x10′, 10’x12′ and 12’x16′). The building features a single slope, shallow pitched roof and beefy overhangs. On the tall front wall, high-end transom windows and a glass residential style door are included.
With more new single family homes reflecting this modern architectural style, TUFF SHED sought to fulfill those customer’s storage needs. And although it’s not limited to these uses, this type of design appears to be popular as extra living space, whether it’s a home office, studio or even guest quarters.
While the PRO Studio is a completely new design for TUFF SHED, the PRO Sports Edition has new added options that cater to athletes, and cyclists in particular.
TUFF SHED worked with their newest corporate sponsorship, the ORBEA-TUFF SHED Pro Mountain Bike Racing Team, to develop this 10’x12′ building that gives cyclists a new option for storing their gear and working on their bikes. The design of the building combines the benefits of TUFF SHED’s top of the line PRO Series with added features, such as a workbench, shelving, overhead loft, skylights, cubbies for shoes and helmets, and an apparel closet. And since the building caters to bikers, it also includes two wall mounted Velo Wall Racks and a Pro-Elite work stand, both from Feedback Sports.
The building will be introduced just in time for the ORBEA-TUFF SHED team’s upcoming race – The Whiskey 50 Off-Road Race – in Prescott, Ariz. on April 27th through the 29th. The PRO Sports Edition will be showcased at the event and a TUFF SHED sales representative will be on hand to answer any customer questions and place orders.
And to celebrate the launch of this new product, TUFF SHED will give away one of these buildings to a customer this spring. To enter to win, simply visit www.tuffshed.com and save an online quote for any building between April 16th and June 17th.
