Make the most of those summer celebrations with an enviable backyard hosting space. Creating a great entertainment area can be as simple as converting your backyard storage shed. We picked up a few helpful pointers from past customers and the FYI Channel’s He Shed She Shed. With these tips you’ll be well on your way to creating the perfect outdoor entertainment space.
- Start with your shed. If you’ve already got a Tuff Shed building in your backyard, you’ve got a great head start. If not, we’ve got plenty of styles that will work great for the backyard events you have in mind. A modern style like our Lean-To or Premier Pro Studio can make a great open space for entertaining.
- Plan the space. Is your backyard already primed for outdoor entertaining? If so, your shed can simply be used as the serving area for backyard get-togethers. The party shed is just the beginning of your backyard entertaining. You may want to plan for a bigger space with a deck or patio alongside the shed. A great example is this tiki shed! With a bar top and separate seating areas inside and on the porch, there’s plenty of space for you and a few friends to kick back and relax
- Pick a theme. Take your shed to the next level with a fun décor theme. A beach-themed shed is always crowd favorite with it’s laid back vibe, but there are so many other options as well. Turn your space into a disco bar with neon lights and a checkerboard floor. Maybe you’d like a more sophisticated space with bistro tables and café lights. The possibilities are endless and our Pinterest boards are a great place to grab some décor inspiration.
- Keep it stocked. No matter if you have a wet bar, a small refrigerator, or a bar cart, be sure to keep it well supplied. Our interior workbenches and shelf upgrades are great for sturdy, built-in storage. For a more custom shelf to keep all your drink accessories organized, we suggest our DIY Pallet shelf!
There’s no doubt that the best place to enjoy a warm summer night is a backyard party shed-especially if it’s a Tuff Shed building. For a little extra inspiration, take a look at a few of our favorite sheds.
