It’s incredible to see how a community comes together in a time of crisis. We’re proud to do our part, answering essential needs and doing what we can to help in any way. Our Denver, CO team became a shining example, working with Children’s Hospital on a truly remarkable building.
Children’s Hospital reached out to our Denver team with an urgent need for a building in the fight against COVID-19. They needed a building to help support drive through testing for emergency workers. With the growing number of cases in the state, they wanted to put the new facility to use within 2-3 days.
“I had to take a deep breath when Children’s asked if they could have the building the next day,” said Denver District Manager Josh Roffeis. “But it was an amazing challenge and I told my pre-fab team that nobody touches a stick of lumber for another build until the PACK was complete for this build.”
With no time to waste our team went above and beyond to get their garage designed, prefabricated, and installed in less than 30 hours, even sourcing a pair of overheard doors. When we were finished, Children’s Hospital added everything they need to create a working facility.
The new garage was ready for use just 3 days after we first received the call from Children’s Hospital; a success both our companies could take pride in. Jerrod Milton, SVP for Children’s summed up the project this way: “In short, this process will reduce patient morbidity and mortality, lead to better treatment decisions, and help keep our care givers safe. I am so grateful that we have Tuff Shed as a resource for our community.”
This project truly embodies the Tuff Shed spirit. Even during difficult and uncertain times, our teams are ready to step up, take pride in their work, and go the extra mile. We’re honored to be a part of these efforts and do what it takes to make a difference in our communities.
