Our Show Off Your Shed contest is an incredible source of shed inspiration. Kevin, our second contest winner, takes us on a tour of his light-filled backyard workshop, decked out with a growing collection of woodworking tools. 

Our Winner: Kevin’s Clerestory Workshop

In 2019, Kevin had his sights set on retirement and a new schedule packed with plenty of time for his woodworking projects. That’s how he came to design his backyard workshop, the winning building for our Show off Your Shed contest. Kevin’s clerestory workshop is keeping him busy, with plenty of room for projects inside and out.

As for why he chose to work with Tuff Shed, Kevin notes the quality of the construction and quick timeline. “Between the quality of the materials and the ease of getting it designed and installed, Tuff Shed was the clear choice for me. I’ve been very impressed with the building.” The new workshop has truly come in handy during the past year, as he was able to make Christmas gifts for everyone on his list, including cutting boards and coffee tables.

His 10×12 Premier PRO Tall Ranch features a clerestory roof and a 3×2 window on the front wall, providing plenty of natural light inside the workshop. Kevin had a concrete pad poured in front of the shed, giving him space to work on projects outside of the shed during warmer months.
